Primrose Angels

Published 1:47pm Tuesday, February 1, 2011

Primrose School of Riverwoods demonstrated its commitment to making a difference in Shelby County. On Thursday, Dec. 16, the school donated toys for 20 Salvation Army Angel Tree children in Shelby County. Each class, infant through kindergarten, was assigned two Angels to sponsor. The children and their families had fun shopping, and were able to provide for these children’s needs, wishes and much more. The school’s foyer overflowed with toys, clothes, diapers, shoes and coats. All of the children were so proud and excited to show off the items they donated for their ‘Angels.’ The teachers and families did a wonderful job teaching the children the joy of giving to others and explaining why the Salvation Army helps others at Christmas time.
