Calera Elementary recycles
Published 1:41pm Tuesday, February 8, 2011Calera Elementary has raised about $900 (45,000 pouches not in a land fill) in Capri Sun drink pouches. With the help of Calera Elementary, TerraCycle collected more than 50 million drink pouches and paid $1 million to charities and non-profits. Together, these drink pouches would fill 480 football fields if laid side by side and would weigh the equivalent of 20 school buses. As one of its top collecting schools, the school received a certificate recognizing its efforts.
