Former Oak Mountain High School soccer standout Chandler Hoffman was recently named the United Soccer League’s Player of the Week.

Hoffman, who just wrapped up his sophomore season at UCLA, earned the nod after scoring five goals in three matches for his team in the USL, the Orange County Blue Star.

Hoffman opened the week with a hat trick in a 5-2 win against the LA Blues 23. Hofman added a goal each in Blue Star’s victories against the Ogden Outlaws and BYU Cougars.
