Jessica Hope Hardin, age 25, of Tuscaloosa formerly of Fayette, died Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2012 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 7 at 2 p.m. at Norwood Chapel with Rev. Raymond Fowler and Sister Judy Elmore officiating. Burial will follow in the Fayette Memorial Gardens cemetery.

Jessica was born Dec. 2, 1986 and was raised in Fayette. She graduated from Fayette County High School in 2005. She graduated from the University of Alabama in 2010 with a master’s degree in marketing. Jessica was a Crimsonette at U of A for four years and was captain Crimsonette in 2008. She started work in June 2010 as sales marketing consultant with the Shelby County Reporter in Columbiana. Jessica was a member of the Trinity Church of God.

Survivors include her mother, Christie Hardin Hood of Dothan; grandparents, Charlie and Linda Betts of Tuscaloosa and Clive and Ina Williams of Fayette and one brother, Wesley Williams of Dothan.

Honorary pallbearers were the University of Alabama Crimsonettes.

Active pallbearers were Blake Nichols, Casey Nichols, Dusty Eads, Zack Chism, Steve Herron and Josh Lesley.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Alabama/ Gulf Coast; 100 Chase Park South Suite 220; Birmingham, AL 35244.
