The Oak Mountain High School girls’ basketball team defeated Pelham 37-30 in an Alabama High School Athletic Association Class 6A, Area 10 contest Jan. 10.

Three players led the Eagles (14-5 overall, 1-0 in Class 6A, Area 10) with eight points each in the victory.

Hannah Griffin, Julia Ferguson and Maegen McDanal contributed eight points apiece for Oak Mountain.

Ashley Kate Kepler led Pelham (14-3 overall, 0-1 in Class 6A, Area 10) with 11 points. Erin Whitman added 10 points.

BOYS

The Pelham High School boys’ basketball team defeated Oak Mountain 35-29 in an Alabama High School Athletic Association Class 6A, Area 10 contest Jan. 10.

Kenny Meadows led the Panthers (12-6 overall, 1-0 in Class 6A, Area 10) with eight points.

Scott Hester led Oak Mountain with eight points.
