Eagles top New Life Christian

The Hope Christian School girls’ basketball team defeated New Life Christian 50-32 in an Alabama Christian Sports Conference contest Jan. 17.

Christina Jones led the Eagles (8-6) with 14 points in the victory.

Karlee Tate and Rachel Rettig added eight points each. Rettig grabbed five rebounds.

Erin Douglas chipped in seven points and a team-high eight rebounds. Brooke Machen finished with six points and six rebounds to go along with a team-high 10 steals.

Joelle Reed finished with four points and four rebounds. Leigh Wilson Legg contributed three points and four steals.

BOYS

The Hope Christian School boys’ basketball team fell to New Life Christian 40-38 in an Alabama Christian Sports Conference contest Jan. 17.

Immanuel Drew led the Eagles (3-10) with 13 points. Drew also grabbed six rebounds.

Pete Thomason added nine points to go along with a team-high seven rebounds and four assists. Seth Burnham chipped in six points and six rebounds.

Brandon Fuller contributed four points. Cameron Costa, Caleb Booker and Josh Wells finished with two points each. Costa registered two assists, Booker grabbed five rebounds and Wells finished with two boards.
