Chargers fall to Tuscaloosa Academy

The Cornerstone Christian School boys’ basketball team fell to Tuscaloosa Academy in high school basketball action Jan. 24.

Kendall Moore led the Chargers (14-7) with 17 points.

B.J. Smith added 14 points.

Cornerstone Christian will play host to Chambers Academy in the Alabama Independent Schools Association Class 1A, Area 1 tournament Jan. 27 at 7:30 p.m.
Coosa Valley Academy will face Lyman Ward in the other boys’ semifinal Jan. 27 at 4:30 p.m.

The winners of each game will meet in the AISA Class 1A, Area 1 tournament championship game Jan. 28 at 2:30 p.m.

The Coosa Valley Academy girls’ basketball team will face Chambers Academy on Jan. 27 at 6 p.m. in a playoff game with the winner advancing to the AISA Class 1A, Area 1 tournament championship game.

The winner of the playoff game will meet host Cornerstone Christian in the title game Jan. 28 at 1 p.m.
