Eagles edge Covenant Christian

The Hope Christian School boys’ basketball team edged Covenant Christian 46-43 in its final regular season game Feb. 10.

Pete Thomason led the Eagles (8-15) with 14 points in the victory. Thomason also grabbed a team-high eight rebounds in the win.

Brandon Fuller added 12 points and a team-high eight steals. Immanuel Drew chipped in nine points and six rebounds.

Cameron Costa contributed eight points and three rebounds. Seth Burnham finished with two points and six rebounds. Caleb Booker added one point and six rebounds.

GIRLS

The Hope Christian School girls’ basketball team fell to Covenant Christian 56-35 in its final regular season game Feb. 11.

Leigh Wilson Legg led the Eagles (10-10) with 11 points. Legg also finished with two rebounds and three steals.

Christina Jones added 10 points. Karlee Tate chipped in six points.

Joelle Reed contributed five points. Rachel Holmes finished with two points. Brooke Machen added one point and a team-high five rebounds and two assists.
