Coosa Valley tops Bessemer Academy

The Coosa Valley Academy softball team defeated Bessemer Academy 9-3 in high school softball action Feb. 23.
Hannah Vick and Allison Craft led the Rebels at the plate.
Vick finished 3-for-3 at the plate and drove in three runs in the victory. Craft went 2-for-2 with a triple and drove in three runs.
Hope Myrick finished 2-for-3 at the plate with a double and drove in one run. Carlee Yarnell went 1-for-2 and scored two runs.
Jessica Parris finished 1-for-2 and drove in one run. Kala Shaw and Danielle Richardson finished with one hit each.
Vick, who earned the win in the circle, finished with with five strikeouts.
