Rogers knocked down three 3-pointers in the final three minutes of regulation, which helped erase a nine-point deficit with 2:22 remaining in the game. Rogers’ 3-pointer with 29 seconds left sent the game into overtime tied 59-59.

Rogers drained a 3-pointer early in the overtime session to give the Yellow Jackets a one-point lead. His steal and breakaway basket with 28 seconds remaining gave Vincent a three-point cushion in the final seconds.

Rogers, who led Vincent with 28 points in the semifinal victory on 11-of-15 field goals, said the Yellow Jackets had to keep their head in the game despite the enormous setting at the BJCC. Rogers, who grabbed seven rebounds and finished with three steals, knocked down 6-of-9 3-point attempts.

“We just had to come out and play like it was any other game,” Rogers said.

Dontravious Moon, the Yellow Jackets’ leading scorer, was limited to only one field goal in the game but finished with 14 points after draining 12-of-18 free throws. Moon also grabbed a team-high eight rebounds.

Jamal McCrimon added 10 points. Tyler Williams finished with eight points and four rebounds before fouling out. Demauntey Johnson chipped in three points and four boards.
