Chargers shut out Kingwood Christian in tournament

The Cornerstone Christian School baseball team defeated Kingwood Christian 10-0 in its baseball tournament March 16.

Tim Warren earned the win on the mound after striking out three batters in a no-hitter.

Chase Payne and Sterling Reither led the Chargers at the plate as they each went 2-for-3 and drove in one run each.

Adrian Young finished 1-for-1 at the plate and drove in two runs.

Cornerstone Christian defeated Bessemer Academy 4-0 in its second game in the tournament.

Auston Wingard led the Chargers as he went 2-for-3 at the plate.

Reither, Grant Martin and Clayton Halbert added one hit each.

Austin Davis earned the win on the mound after pitching a three-hit shutout.
