Bulldogs edge Hale County in area contest

The Montevallo High School baseball team defeated Hale County 4-3 in an Alabama High School Athletic Association Class 3A, Area 7 contest April 3.

David Shirah led the Bulldogs at the plate as he finished 1-for-3 with a double. Shirah drove in two runs in the victory.

Jonathan Pintaro went 2-for-3 at the plate. Zach Smith finished 1-for-3 at the plate and drove in on run. Taylor Burr finished 1-for-3 at the plate.

Trevor Chatham earned the win on the mound after giving up three earned runs on four hits with 10 strikeouts and three walks in a complete-game victory.
