The Hope Christian School softball team defeated rival Evangel Christian 5-1 in high school softball action April 21.

Abby Patton recorded both hits in the victory for the Eagles. Patton drove in one run in the win.

Lindy Walker and Sarah Birdsong also drove in one run each.

Walker, who earned the win in the circle, struck out 15 batters in a complete-game victory.

Jessyca Ray led the Lightning with two hits. H. Thompson added one hit.

Ray, who took the loss, finished with five strikeouts.
