Yellow Jackets defeat Indian Springs

The Vincent High School softball team defeated Indian Springs 11-1 in high school softball action April 24.

Morgan O’Steen led the Yellow Jackets offensively as she finished 2-for-3 at the plate with a double. O’Steen drove in two runs and scored one run.

Ashley McCloud went 2-for-4 at the plate and drove in one run. Ashlynn Melton finished 2-for-3 at the plate and scored two runs.

Courtney Barber earned the win in the circle after giving up one earned run on four hits with six strikeouts and one walk in a five-inning complete-game victory.

Ilana Engel led Indian Springs offensively as she finihed 1-for-2 at the plate. Engel also drove in one run.

Caroline Malone took the loss after giving up 11 runs, including three earned runs, on eight hits with six strikeouts and six walks in a five-inning complete game.
