Wildcats set season record for victories

The Shelby County High School softball team defeated Shades Valley 10-0 in its final game of the regular season to notch its school record 30th victory of the season May 1.

The Wildcats scored quickly, going up 3-0 in the first inning.

Jaselyn Harrison, Ashlyn Blackerby, and Brittani Morris each picked up an RBI in the inning.

Shelby County scored four runs in the fifth inning, with two of them driven in by senior Kristen King. The Wildcats added three more runs in the sixth inning to finish the 10-0 victory.

Anna Couch picked up the win in the circle to improver her record to 6-1 overall. Courtney Shields pitched one inning in the victory.
