Lions end season with loss to Chilton County

The Briarwood Christian School baseball team ended its season with a 6-0 loss to Chilton County in the deciding third game of a best-of-three series in the Alabama High School Athletic Association Class 5A quarterfinals May 5.

Daniel Robert led the Lions offensively as he finished 1-for-2 at the plate with a double.

Matthew Furuto finished 1-for-2 at the plate. Ethan Simmons, Cleveland Milstead and Brayden Housel each went 1-for-3 at the plate.

Will Brown took the loss on the mound after giving up six runs, including four earned runs, on nine hits with six strikeouts in a complete game.
