A ribbon cutting was held Monday, May 21, at the Showroom of Mitutoyo America Corporation at 2100 Riverchase Center in Hoover. Shown cutting the ribbon are Yoshiaki Numata, left, grandson of the founder of the multi-billion dollar corporation, and Shigeyuki Sasaki, president of Mitutoyo America Corp. They are joined by Hoover Mayor Gary Ivey, holding the bow. They are also joined by many corporate executives from Japan, local manufacturer’s representative Jim McDaniel of McDaniel Machinery, Inc., and several Hoover Chamber Ambassadors.
