Lightning sweep T.H.E. in volleyball match

The Evangel Christian School volleyball team swept the Tuscaloosa Home Educators 25-15, 25-8, 25-12 in high school volleyball action Aug. 21.

Kierson McGriff, Elizabeth Ragland, Anna Byers and Caroline Joiner led the Lightning (8-1) with six kills each in the victory.

McGriff also posted a team-high nine service aces and 15 assists to go along with four digs. Ragland added a a team-high 11 digs to go along with seven assists. Byers contributed five service aces, while Joiner finished with one dig.

Amelia Megginson added three kills and one dig. Victoria Foster chipped in one kill  and one service ace in the victory. Kate Ragland posted two service aces and two digs. Erin Morris also chipped in two digs.
