Walter Wellborn defeats Vincent 60-27

ANNISTON-Vincent High School fell 60-27 on the road to Walter Wellborn High School Friday, Aug. 8.

Vincent coach Zeb Ellison was not pleased with his team’s performance.

“The kids did not play a good game at all tonight,” Ellison said.

The Yellow Jackets were led by junior running back Rodney Groce who rushed for 245 yards and a touchdown on 16 attempts. Senior quarterback Damauntey Johnson was 3-of-11 passing for 21 yards with three rushing touchdowns while senior receiver Anterio Rogers led Vincent with two catches for 17 yards.
