Hornets defeats Ashville, Moody in tri-match

The Chelsea High School volleyball team picked up two victories on Tuesday, Sept. 11 over Ashville and Moody in a three-team match.

The Hornets (7-5, 2-1) began the day with a 25-12, 26-24 win over Ashville.

Chelsea freshman Madison Turner led the way with 10 kills while Emma Cotney picked up a team-high 13 digs on defense.

Chelsea turned around and defeated Moody 25-9, 25-20 in straight sets.

Turner scored eight kills with a team-high nine assists while Holly Marbut accounted for five kills and five digs. Courney Campbell led with eight digs defensively.
