Calera wins easily 55-0

CALERA - Calera High School dominated West Blocton High School 55-0 on Friday Sept. 14 at Calera High School.

Six different Eagles scored touchdowns on offense with sophomore running back Shakeith Tyes leading the way with two rushing touchdowns.

Senior quarterback Zack Reneau led passing attack with 9-of-11 passing for 131 yards and a touchdown while also adding a rushing touchdown.  Junior running back Daillion Kennedy added a 65-yard punt return touchdown. Senior linebacker Sheldon Nixon and sophomore linebacker Lane Johnson led the Eagles defense with five tackles each.
