Calera AOK clothing drive kicks off Sept. 29

CALERA – The tradition of neighbors helping neighbors in Calera continues with the annual Calera Acts of Kindness fall clothing giveaway Sept. 29.

The giveaway will begin at 8 a.m. at the Calera Community Center, which is located at 8560 U.S. 31 South.

Starting Sept. 17, clean, gently worn fall and winter shoes and clothing for infants, children, teens and adults may be dropped off at Calera Presbyterian Church, which is located at 1965 14th Street. The community center will be open for donations starting Sept. 24 between 7 a.m.-7 p.m., according to AOK organizer Rebecca Krueger.
