Cornerstone sweeps Bessemer Academy

The Cornerstone Christian volleyball team picked up their second sweep of the week with a 25-18, 25-14, 25-20 victory over Bessemer Academy on Sept. 20.

The Chargers were led by Audrey Davis, a seventh grader, with 13 aces along with five digs. Junior Alyssa Schreiber had a team-high seven kills with five aces and a block. Lindsey Smins added six kills and four aces.

Laura Beth Franklin had 10 assists, two kills and four aces. Emily Dorough led the defense with 10 digs.

Cornerstone Christian returns to action at home against Chlton Christian Sept. 25.
