Ms. Kristy Marie Maddox, age 42, of South River Road, Shelby, formerly of Boaz, died Sept. 26, 2012, in Calera.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sept. 29, 2012, at McRae Chapel, interment in Shady Grove Cemetery with Bro. Shannon Pullen and Bro. Gene Taylor officiating. McRae Funeral Home, Boaz, is in charge of the arrangements.

Ms. Maddox was born in Alabama on Aug. 19, 1970, to Jimmy Maddox and Gladys Wilbanks. She was employed by Wal-Mart.

Ms. Maddox is survived by her companion, Tracy Martin of Shelby; sons, Garett Martin and Matthew Martin, both of Shelby; father, Jimmy Maddox (Janice) of Boaz; mother, Gladys Johns of Georgia; chosen mother, Kay Lowe of Boaz; sisters, Linda Johns of Florida, Kristy Bowman (Greg) of Helena and Tonya Riggs of Geraldine; aunts, Linda Eubanks and Juanita Taylor; special aunt, Martha Wilbanks of Hartselle; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Michael Swindler, Greg Bowman, Blain Carter, Ricky Maddox, Eric Newfield and Tony Lowe.
