LA FAYETTE-Cornerstone Christian School (4-3) defeated Chambers Academy (0-7) 40-13 on Sept. 28 at Chambers Academy.

Coach Tim Smith said his team played well, but came out a little flat.  He said it was nice to not have a game come down to the wire like last week where the Chargers came from 19 down to win over Ashford Academy, 20-19.

“After last week it was nice to have a nice lead most of the game,” Smith said.

Senior running back B.J. Smith led the Chargers with 153 yards and five touchdowns on 16 rushes. Senior Adrian Young had more than 200 yards of offense.  Young also ran back the opening kickoff for a touchdown.
