Ramsay rallies past Briarwood

The Briarwood Christian volleyball team battled to take a 2-0 lead, but Ramsay rallied back to win the last three game to claim a 24-26, 23-25, 25-23, 25-17, 15-11 victory.

Mariah Light led the attack for the Lions with 18 kills with Madison Chambers finishing with 12 kills and Josie Slaughter adding six kills. Adedline Reiser had a team-high 29 assists.

Hope Donohue led the Briarwood defense with 27 digs.

Briarwood Christian fell to 19-13 and 2-3 in Class 5A, Area 9 play. The Lions return to action on Tuesday, Oct. 9 when they travel to Homewood in a game that will determine positioning in the area tournament.
