HARPERSVILLE – The Coosa Valley Academy Rebels executed their running game in the second half to pull away for a 38-10 win over Springfield School on Oct. 12 at home.

The Rebels (3-6, 2-4) took a 7-3 lead at the half and took to the ground in the third quarter to outscore Springfield 31-7 in the second half.

“We came out in the second half and ran the football at will.” said Coosa Valley head coach Alton Hudson.

Coosa Valley was led by Ryan Brooks who rushed for over 100 yards in the game with two touchdowns. Niko Teofilo scored a touchdown on offense and defense while Alex Nelson scored on a 12-yard touchdown run for the Rebels.

Coosa Valley will return to action Oct. 19 when they host Bessemer Academy.
