Crowe, King lead Calera into state meet

TRUSSVILLE – Caleb Crowe and Samantha King led Calera cross country runners  who qualified for the state meet at the Section 3, Class 4A meet on Nov. 1.

Crowe took eighth in the boys’ race with a time of 18:54.75. Preston Waid took 10th to qualify for the state meet on Nov. 10.

King finished eighth in the girls’ race to lead four Calera qualifiers to the state meet. Aleigha Crawford (14th), Haley Holder (18th) and Sydney Ray (21) also clinched a spot in the state meet.
