Published 5:04pm Thursday, November 8, 2012

The Alabaster-Pelham Rotary Club will fill the Pelham Civic Complex with Christmas cheer on Nov. 17 during the club’s first Southern Christmas Bazaar.

The event will be from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. at the complex, and will feature more than 50 merchants from Alabama and surrounding states selling a variety of Christmas-themed items, such as clothing, collectables, food, decorations and more.

Tickets to the event are $5 for adults, $3 for children and children younger than 6 are free. Tickets are available at Iberia Bank and M&F Bank on U.S. 31 in Pelham, and will be available the day of the event.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Alabaster-Pelham Rotary Club’s community projects, such as providing gift bags for elderly shut-ins and college scholarships for local students.

Refreshments and concessions will be available at the event, and Santa Claus will be on hand for early Christmas photos.
