Hornets rally in second half

NORTH SHELBY – The Chelsea Hornets responded from a double-digit halftime deficit to claim a 51-44 victory over Briarwood at the North Shelby Tip-off tournament Nov. 19.

The Hornets trailed 29-17 at the half, but outscored Briarwood 34-15 in the second half to claim the win.

Austin Washington led Chelsea with 16 points and five rebounds. Darrell Foster recorded a double-double performance with 10 points and 11 rebounds. David Simpson added 10 points.

Josh Laatsch led Briarwood with a game-high 18 points.
