Lorene Dennis Young of Pelham passed away Dec. 9, 2012, at the age of 84. She attended Oak Mountain Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David B. Young.

She is survived by two daughters, Irene McRee (Clayton) and Betty Evans; three grandchildren, Clayton E. McRee Jr., Barbara Booth Johnson and Wanda K. White (Cary); and four great-grandchildren, David Johnson, Brianna White, Jesse White and McKenzie McRee.

Graveside services will be Dec. 11 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.

The family would like to express a sincere thank you to the staff at Chandler Health & Rehab and New Beacon Hospice, especially Paige Landry.
