Evangel falls to Falcons

Evangel Christian was outscored 10-2 in a third quarter as the Lightning lost to Covenant Christian in Huntsville 37-29 Dec. 11.

Anna Byers had 15 points, including eight in the first quarter, and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead Evangel (3-4). Bethany Letson pitched in six points on two 3-pointers. Angel Silvant paced Covenant with 11 points.
