The Kingwood Christian Lions held off Evangel Christian Academy of Montgomery in the second half for a 73-67 victory Dec. 13.

Kingwood (8-1) took a 44-23 lead at the half, but ECA outscored in the third and fourth quarters to cut the deficit but was unable to take the lead.

Daniel Fillingim led Kingwood with 25 points and 15 rebounds with six assists. Josh Purvis scored 18 points while Titus Adams added 14 points with 10 rebounds.
