Evangel Christian defeated Hope Academy of Talladega 44-26 in a non-conference girls basketball game on Dec. 14.

Lacey Entrekin had 18 and pulled down eight rebounds in a little more than two quarters of playing time, and Bethany Letson scored 15 points and dished out seven assists to lead the Lightning. Letson was 5-for-7 from behind the three-point line. Madison Thames added two three-pointers for Evangel.
