HOOVER — The first two Hoover City Council meetings of 2013 have been rescheduled, according to city officials.

The Jan. 7 council meeting has been moved to Jan. 8 at 6 p.m. because some Hoover City Council members plan to attend the BCS National Championship game in Miami. The Alabama Crimson Tide will play in that game versus the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

The Jan. 21 council meeting has been moved to Jan. 22 at 6 p.m. because Martin Luther King Jr. Day is Jan. 21.

Also, the Jan. 3 Hoover City Council work session has been cancelled.
