Defense leads Rebels past Sparta Academy

The Coosa Valley Academy Lady Rebels held Sparta Academy to just nine points in the second half to claim a 50-40 victory Dec. 27 at the Morgan Academy Holiday Classic.

Danielle Richardson led Coosa Valley with 29 points, 11 steals and 10 rebounds. Kaylan Rich added 14 points and 12 rebounds.
