The 5 p.m. wedding was officiated by Joel Miller of the Shelby Baptist Church. The bride’s parents are Gwen and Tony Snow of Wilsonville. The groom’s parents are Christie Muehlbauer and Aubia Ray Pennington of Montevallo.

The wedding party, with Jodie, consisted of Makenzie Sanford, matron of honor; Jamie Smith, maid of honor; Melissa Nolen and Shea Kelley, as bridesmaids. Rickey had with him Kane Pierce, best man; his brother, Sam Pennington, Brian Nolen and Matthew Durham as groomsmen. Flower girls were Emalee and Payslee Nolen, daughters of Melissa and Brian Nolen. Ring bearer was Kyan McCoy, son of Candice and Blake McCoy from Maryville, Tenn. Kyan was pulled in his Little Red Wagon by Emalee and

Payslee. Emery Francis of Oakdale, Tenn., played the wedding march and sang for the couples wedding.

The wedding reception had a catered meal prepared by Chef Bob of Birmingham. Glen Kelley, a DJ from Wilsonville provided the entertainment while the guests enjoyed the food and dancing. When darkness arrived, Pyro Productions from Birmingham topped off the evening with a spectacular fireworks display. The evening was completed for the couple from the bell tower with the bouquet toss and flipping the garter to the respective ladies and gentlemen.

Mr. and Mrs. Pennington spent a week in Gulf Shores and are now living in Montevallo. Rickey is employed as a fireman and paramedic. Jodie works in a physical therapist office. The family and friends wish them the best in a long happy marriage.
