Calera captures Area 7 title

The Calera Lady Eagles ended Class 4A, Area 7 play undefeated with a 44-14 victory over Bibb County Jan. 25.

Calera (15-7, 6-0) jumped out to a 27-8 lead in the first half and allowed just six points in the second half.

A’kia Harris led Calera with 13 points while Tyesha Haynes added 10 points. Perri Duncan and Bree Caldwell eacch added six points for the Lady Eagles.
