Cohill allegedly used a knife to murder her boyfriend Humphrey Keith, 55, at the 4600 block of U.S. 280, according to court documents.

“It was a cut and dry case,” Harpersville Police Chief David Latimer said.

Latimer previously said several witnesses saw Cohill stab Keith in the chest.

Cohill’s next court hearing is a status call April 30 at 8:30 a.m., according to Shelby County Circuit Court Supervisor Jill Smitherman.
