Vincent sweeps B.B. Comer

The Vincent Yellow Jackets held B.B. Comer to just four runs to earn a doubleheader sweep March 4.

The Yellow Jackets began the two-game set with an 8-3 victory. Vincent scored four runs in the first and ended the game with three runs in the seventh to seal the win.

Zach Baucom pitched Vincent to the win in a complete game effort and allowed three runs on seven hits with four strikeouts. Baucom led the Yellow Jackets with a 3-for-4 effort with a run. Chase Howard added a double while finishing 2-for-4 with two runs scored and a RBI. Cade Carroll drove in two runs and finished 1-for-3.

Vincent locked up the sweep with a 15-1 victory in game two. The Yellow Jackets scored six runs in the first, five in the second and four in the third. Michael Gilham pitched three innings for the victory and recorded five strikeouts while allowing one run on two hits.

Cornell Bonner led Vincent with a 2-for-4 performance with four RBIs. DJ Brasher finished 2-for-3 from the plate with three RBIs and two runs scored.
