Pelham shuts out Northridge in doubleheader

The Pelham Panthers baseball team didn’t allow a run in their doubleheader sweep of Northridge March 5.

The Panthers (7-3) defeated Northridge 4-0 in the first game of the doubleheader led by a no-hitter by Thomas Lowery. Lowery pitched seven innings and struck out 10 batters with two walks. Fletcher Johnson finished the game 2-for-3 with two doubles and two runs scored. Hunter Stovall went 2-for-3 with a double and two runs. Lowery added a 2-for-4 effort with a double and two RBIs.

Jack Pierce allowed one hit and struck out 17 in the Panthers’ 8-0 win in game two. Johnson led Pelham with a 2-for-2 performance with a home run and three RBIs. Eli Beall added a 2-for-4 effort with a double and a RBI.
