Briarwood holds off Sylacauga

The Briarwood Christian Lions held off Sylacauga for a 4-3 victory March 7.

The Lions (5-5) held a 2-0 lead after the second inning, and then regained a 4-2 advantage in the bottom of the fourth.

Tanner Cunningham threw six innings and allowed three runs on four hits with eight strikeouts and three walks in the win. Daniel Robert picked up the save with a strikeout.

Cunningham led the Lions with a 2-for-4 effort from the plate with three RBIs. Harrison Cain finished 1-for-2 with a run.
