Chelsea wins two at Pleasant Grove tourney

The Chelsea Hornets softball team won their first two games at the Pleasant Grove tournament March 8.

Chelsea (4-3) defeated Brookwood 4-2 in its first game. Alexis Eisenberg pitched six innings in the win and allowed two runs on two hits with four strikeouts and four walks.

Erin Jones led Chelsea batting 2-for-3 with an RBI. Jordan Gray hit a home run while batting 1-for-3 with three RBIs.

Chelsea ended the first day of the tournament with a 3-1 win over McAdory. Kendall Cooper allowed one run on one hit with seven strikeouts in the win. Gray finished 2-for-2 with a RBI to lead the Hornets.
