Oak Mountain pulls away late for win over Spain Park

The Oak Mountain Lady Eagles scored five runs in the sixth inning to claim an 11-6 victory over Spain Park March 14.

Spain Park pulled within a run, 6-5, after five innings of play before Oak Mountain pulled away in the sixth.

Katherine Kimble picked up the win while pitching three innings in relief. Kimble allowed two runs on four hits with a strikeout and a walk.

Mary Kathryn Bonamy took the loss for Spain Park allowing 11 runs on 12 hits with two strikeouts.

Caroline Seitz led Oak Mountain finishing 3-for-4 with two home runs, five RBIs and three runs scored. Chloe Yeager went 2-for-4 with a home run, three RBIs and a run scored.

Bonamy led Spain Park batting 3-for-3 with a home run, four RBIs and a run.
