Warriors take second at Panama City Invitational

The Thompson Warriors took second at the Panama City Invitational baseball tournament after falling to Mosley (Fla.) 16-2 March 21.

Thompson (23-8) trailed 11-0 before scoring two runs in the bottom of the fourth. Mosley added five runs in the fifth to seal the 16-2 win.

Drew Avans, Hunter Rigney and Jake Walters each hit doubles to lead the Warriors with one-hit efforts. Joseph Simonetti and Jesse Handlon each went 1-for-2 with a RBI.

Mason MacDougall took the loss allowing four earned runs on five hits with a strikeout and a walk.
