Warriors blank Oak Mountain

The Thompson Warriors scored eight runs in the fourth inning to seal a 15-0 five-inning victory over Oak Mountain March 27.

Drew Avans pitched five innings for the win and allowed no runs on three hits with five strikeouts and two walks.

Chandler Clower took the loss for Oak Mountain allowing three earned runs on six hits in two and a third innings of work.

Blake Grill led all batters with a 4-for-4 effort for Thompson including a triple, double, 3 RBIs and four runs scored.

Pierce Clark and Jared Spivey each had hits for the Eagles.
