Shelby County suffers first losses of the season

The Shelby County Ladycats suffered their first losses of the season when they traveled to Sylacauga March 29.

Shelby County (10-2) dropped its first game of the season 6-2 to McAdory. Jessica Carden took her first loss of the season allowing six runs off of seven hits with four strikeouts. Ashlyn Blackerby went 1-for-2 with a RBI to lead the Ladycats in the loss.

The Ladycats took a 2-1 lead in the fourth, but fell to Florence 3-2 for their second loss of the season. Anna Morgan Couch allowed one earned run on five hits in the loss. Brianna Buie led Shelby County batting 2-for-3 with a double.
