Spain Park shuts out Chelsea

The Spain Park Jaguars improved to 2-3 in Class 6A, Area 8 play with a 3-0 victory over the Chelsea Hornets April 8.

Trey Hawker pitched a seven-inning shutout for the Jaguars and allowed three hits with two strikeouts and a walk. Josh Close led Spain Park batting 2-for-3 with two doubles and a RBI.

Tripp Hobbs took the loss for Chelsea allowing two earned runs on four this in five and a third innings of work. Casey Ballenger, James Calhoun and Austin Chadwick each had hits for the Hornets.
