Chelsea edges Shelby County

The Chelsea Hornets softball team scored six runs on the fourth to take a 7-6 win over rival Shelby County Ladycats April 9.

Caiti Davis allowed one earned run on nine hits with four strikeouts and five walks in the win for Chelsea. Mallory Bradford finished 1-for-4 with two RBIs and Maygen Boaz went 1-for-3 with a double and a RBI.

Kaitlyn Paschall took the loss for Shelby County in six innings of work and allowed one earned run on nine hits with five strikeouts and a walk. Ashlyn Blackerby led the Ladycats batting 1-for-4 with a RBI.
