Shelby County under tornado watch

Shelby County is under a tornado watch until 7 p.m. today, according to the National Weather Service.

The watch has been issued for the western half of central Alabama, and also includes Bibb, Blount, Chilton, Dallas, Fayette, Greene, Hale, Jefferson, Lamar, Marengo, Marion, Perry, Pickens, Sumter, Tuscaloosa, Walker and Winston counties.
